Virtualization

There exist full types of virtualization: From a folder to cage a program as it were the root of everything, up to a processos, memory and devices assignation to provide real computer set of resources joint as an application.

We use “full” virtualization in three scenarios:

  • Proprietary software isolation, such as old Windows versions or software that can’t be trusted.
  • Real machine separation from all software, to make it easier on future systems migrations between physical machines.
  • Software or feature testing in a preinstalled environment, which is restored each time it’s booted.

And we usually make us of “containers” when we fully share available resources (RAM, disk, processor), by dedicating containers separation to services separation, that is, one container per service instead of installing lots of software in a single operating environment.

because of this we have created the virtualization wizards Matromu, Matromus and ctctl.
